Puttanesca is "harlot-style" sauce, a robust southern Italian tomato sauce. It is said that this was a sauce quickly made by ladies of the night when they were between clients. It is usually associated with Naples and Calabria although this sauce can be found throughout Italy. Ingredients include tomatoes, basil, capers, fresh garlic, and kalamata olives.
