The handmade pastas of Venda Ravioli have been a fixture — and a favorite — on Federal Hill since 1938. The superior product and local presence quickly made the company the go-to source for authentic hand-pressed ravioli.

Alan Costantino bought the business in 1972. Renaming it Costantino’s Venda Ravioli, he respectfully maintained the integrity of the company’s heritage, and hinted at a future of growth.

Alan’s hard work and determination — along with loving support and steadfast commitment from his family and dedicated employees — helped him build one of the most respected and beloved Italian food emporiums in the Northeast.

In 2001, the market quadrupled in size with a move to 275 Atwells Avenue… right on DePasquale Square, in the heart of Federal Hill — the famous “Little Italy” of Providence, Rhode Island.

Today, Costantino’s Venda Ravioli is a joyously bustling market overflowing with authentic imported Italian products, gourmet specialties, prepared foods, and much more.

Designed by Alan, the market features sparkling glass counters, a striking tin ceiling, and stunning merchandise displays. Across DePasquale Square is Costantino’s Venda Bar and Ristorante, open for lunch and dinner and renowned for Italian dishes and an award-wining wine list. We’ve become a favorite venue for private functions and parties, and we’d love to talk with you about hosting an event your guests will truly enjoy.

All of this success is, of course, a direct result of our pasta. Making pasta in the Old World tradition since the late 1930s, we now produce more than 150 kinds of fresh and frozen pasta including jumbo stuffed shells, manicotti, tricolored egg noodles, tortelloni, tortellini, agnolotti, angel hair, an amazing variety of ravioli, and many more.

Even after 50+ years, Alan Costantino is still involved in the day-to-day operations of the
business. But now he collaborates with his children, who tap into his experience and expertise as they usher Venda into the future. Together, they’re enhancing the authentically warm and welcoming experience enjoyed by everyone who chooses Venda Ravioli.
